What kinds of tools does ClickFunnels provide?

ClickFunnels is a web-based, all-in-one marketing suite and website building platform designed specifically for building online sales funnels.

ClickFunnel is a web page builder

One of the main motivations of ClickFunnels team was to accelerate the work they needed to when they needed to build a new sales funnel.

The custom development that they were using was taking way too much time to complete and it was really expensive.

This caused lots of struggles for Russell Brunson and his team, so they set out to create a solution that would make it fast and easy for them to create their funnels.

By creating the web page builder in ClickFunnels they were able to build funnels in a fraction of the time they were used to seeing by doing custom funnels every time in the past.

ClickFunnels is a email service provider

The goal with ClickFunnels as a platform was to create something that contained all the tools they’d need to build their online sales funnels.

And to make that happen they created an email tool to handle all the communication for their clients.

Not only will ClickFunnels handle all your transactional emails associated with purchases, it will also handle all the follow-up email sequences to nurture your relationships with your community.

Follow-up funnels as they’re called inside of ClickFunnels, can be created so you can build out your email marketing sequences.

ClickFunnels is a shopping cart

Since we’re building sales funnels being able to process payments is vital.

Using ClickFunnels you can create membership sites, single product purchases, subscriptions and even now you can create configurable products.

You also have the ability to integrate all kinds of payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal.

That’s just the basics. I’ve got another post that covers ClickFunnels in greater detail, or you can check out this video below.

How to use ClickFunnels with clients

ClickFunnels has made a lot of progress growing into a professional tool. There are several features that make managing your client’s accounts easier than ever.

If you’re thinking about how you can use ClickFunnels for your clients, here are a few things that the ClickFunnels team has created to make it as easy as possible.

Authorized sub-user accounts

One of the newer features to be implemented into the ClickFunnels workflow is the ability to create sub-user accounts within a parent account.

This gives your clients the ability to add you to their account so you can manage their ClickFunnels account from your own.

You can add funnels, edit funnels, and do all the stuff you need to on behalf of your customer making everything much easier and cleaner for everyone.

Create any type of landing page or sales funnel you can imagine

As an authorized user in your client’s accounts you can create any kind of funnel in their account you need to create – lead magnet funnels, unboxing funnels, presentation funnels and application funnels.

You also have the ability to tag and group funnels within ClickFunnels. This makes organizing your funnels super easy.

Share funnels you create so clients can import them into their account

As a provider with your own ClickFunnels account, you can create funnels for your clients in your own account and when it’s time to deliver the finished funnel to your client you can simply set it up as a shared funnel, and your customer can import it right into their account.

I’ve found this to be an indispensable feature that’s made my life so much easier when working with deliverables for clients. I don’t run the risk of building the funnel within their account and being cut off, I can wait until they’ve paid whatever they need to pay then share the funnel with them via the shared funnel link.

There are numerous prebuilt funnel templates to get started

There are a multitude of prebuilt templates available for all kinds of projects.

This is great because these templates give you a fantastic starting point for your own designs.

You can use them as they are, or you can customize them to be whatever you want.

Working with these prebuilt templates is a great way to learn how things are put together, but if you’re like me, once you learn how all the pieces work together, you’ll quickly be wanting to start from scratch so you can create it to be what you want it to be without having to undo a bunch of stuff.

Why ClickFunnels is great to use for clients

As a designer and service provider, it can be a challenge to find ways to add value in a service-based business.

After all, if you’re like me, you’ve struggled trying to figure out ways to continue to deliver valuable service after the deliverables have been delivered.

I know for me, it was a big struggle for a long time until I figured out how to add supplementary products and services to help fill in the gap between projects.

Becoming a sales funnel builder can become a fantastic way for you to deliver this kind of extra value.

And it doesn’t matter whether you’re a graphic design agency, a web design agency, or Facebook ads agency – anyone can use ClickFunnels for their clients.

Here’s the deal:

Not only is it a new service that you can add to your offer, but you can also earn the affiliate income that comes from signing up your clients as ClickFunnels customers.

ClickFunnels for agencies

Here’s the coolest part:

You don’t want to just be a provider doing ClickFunnels work, you need to be a user too.

You will want to make sure to build your own funnels in ClickFunnels.

You can use ClickFunnels to sell your own products & services on your own value ladder – it can easily integrate into whatever you’re using for your own website, whether it’s WordPress or SquareSpace, or something else.

You can also create an application funnel, which I think is a complete game-changer. This is a type of funnel that shifts the focus of the funnel from “hey, you can work with me” to “tell me why I should work with you” and that helps elevate the perceived value of your products & services in the eyes of your dream customers.

I’m personally using ClickFunnels to power my own online funnels and I’ve got several different funnels that I use for various aspects of my own business in addition to the ones that I build for my clients.

Do clients need their own ClickFunnels account?

Yes. According to ClickFunnels terms of service, if you’re doing work on behalf of a client, they are required to have their own account. You cannot host their funnels in your account.

Here’s the deal:

Even if you’re tempted, there are just too many ways for hosting your clients’ funnels in your own account to go wrong.

The revenue coming in from the sales in the funnels will be mixed with your own, the email contact info will be mixed up, and overall, it’s just going to make for a huge mess if you try to do it anyway, so don’t do it.

It would be a huge headache, and even more important it’s not the best way to serve your client, so stay far away from doing this.

What you can do though is build out your client’s funnels in your own account then share the finished funnel with them so they can import it into their account.

As a designer, you want to be in control of this part anyway, as I mentioned before and in the long run it will make both you and your client happier and more satisfied with the work.
