Hey, I’m Rob.

Web designer, developer, online strategist, and all-around “web” guy.

You may have figured that out from the domain name, or from the logo at the top of the page, but since it’s polite to introduce yourself (no cheesy third-person references, I promise. I actually wrote all this myself), I wanted to do just that and extend a warm welcome to you and say thanks for visiting my site.

Have you ever wanted to have a conversation with a web developer to get some answers to questions you have about your website, but were afraid that the “tech” talk would go over your head?

When I was just getting started I struggled to find info and resources that spoke to me where I was at.

There was no shortage of content, but the content just didn’t connect with me a lot of times, so it was hard to find stuff that could help me move forward.

So after years of learning, experimenting, failing and succeeding I thought it would be great to share what I’ve learned and am still learning.

Whether you’re a blogger, a small business, an e-commerce business, or you have some other kind of online presence I’m here to help you solve problems and get results.

I try to eliminate as much of the tech talk as possible so you can get help with your website headaches and make your online efforts successful.

I’ve built a ton of different kinds of websites – from large to just-getting-started blogs.

I’ve helped launch brands. I’ve helped develop e-commerce strategies and develop content initiatives to drive membership interest for a health club chain by using new blogging and content creation practices, and a whole lot more.

I’ve helped a ton of businesses get started with content creation and I’ve helped a ton of bloggers take their first steps into the online world. I’ve designed and built all kinds of different websites.

I learned what works, and just as importantly, what doesn’t work when it comes to building websites. Interested in knowing more about how I ended up here?

Where You Can Start

I’ve created a lot of posts here – several longer than 4,500 words, that go into deep detail so you have as much info as possible.

These posts and guides are designed to be highly actionable. I work to eliminate fluff so you can get the info you need to make your site successful.

The guides that I create are a great place to get started. Here are a couple to get you going:

Here's How I Help

This blog is all about showing others the things I’ve learned that I use in my everyday life as a web developer.

I talk about the tools that I use and how you can use them on your website or in your marketing efforts.

I cover the techniques and strategies you need to know and can put in to use on your own website.

I cover topics related to being a web developer that I’ve found helpful so you have a resource here if you’re just getting started or want to learn how to get started in web development.

I also talk about the business side of web development and building a web business – how to manage projects, work with clients, etc.

The goal of this site is to share what I’ve learned and what I do as a web developer so that you can put these things to use in your own website.

I’ve also put together a collection of resources I use. This covers everything from code editors, to graphic design tools, stock image libraries, useful sites, and more.

Who is Rob?

I’m a web developer and leader in digital strategy. I help entrepreneurs, bloggers, website owners, and businesses of all shapes and sizes to do business better online.

But that’s not the most important stuff. I’m the husband of Paige, and Peyton’s dad. I’m a family guy, and proud of it.

Paige (my wife) and Peyton (my daughter) are the reason I do what I do. You’ll hear me mention them, so in case you’re curious and didn’t know who they are when you run across them in a post, now you know.

I love music.

A lot.

I’m a huge Metallica fan. I’m also a big fan of classical music. If you catch me while I’m doing deep work with my headphones on I’ve got one or the other cranked up.

I’m a proud alumnus of Florida State University and a big-time supporter. We love FSU sports – football, basketball, baseball, softball (national champions!) and get to games as often as we can. You’ll also see me talk about FSU in posts from time to time too. Sorry (not sorry) gator and cane fans.

You Can Connect with Me

I’m reasonably active in the normal social and online spaces. I’d love to connect with you.
